Sumahi is Getting Ready for Christmas!

Sumahi is getting ready for Christmas! Here's a photo of her decorating a Christmas tree. Unfortunately, the number of ornaments she destroyed is way greater than the number of ornaments she placed on the tree.

Sumahi's Terminology 101 -- wooh wooh

I have been reluctant to post on the blog since I have no new photo of Sumahi (Daddy has been hogging all the phototaking opportunities.) But I thought it would be fun to do a little "Sumahi's Terminology 101".

First Lesson - Wooh Wooh

I first started teaching Sumahi the word "Wooh Wooh" (okay, it's not exactly a word.. but...) when she discovered my parents pet dog, Sophie. So I would point to Sophie and said "Sophie Wooh Wooh". "Wooh wooh" is suppose to be the imitation of the barking sound of the dog, so when ever we saw a dog passing by, I would point to it and said "Wooh wooh". And Sumahi picked that up very quickly. Later, she would point to a cat and said "Wooh wooh" for she could not tell the difference between dogs and cats. ( I have one dog, two cats, and a whole bunch of chicken that just comes in and out of my yard and front porch like it is their own home.) However, the word soon lost its original meaning when Daddy got involve with "Wooh wooh". Daddy used it as a trick to have Sumahi warm up to him when he first got back, since Sumahi is often very excited about "Wooh wooh". So Daddy would take her and just point at every random thing and say "Wooh wooh". Unfortunately, Sumahi picked that up from Daddy, and now she would say "Wooh wooh" to just anything, now the word simply means "Look! There's something interesting."

17 Months

For her 17th birthmonthday, Sumahi went to Underworld World in Tumon and scared all the fishes by yelling and running all over the place.

She now has 12 teeth and uses any opportunity to use them or show them off to people.

Sumahi the Abstract Artist

The staff at Sumahi's day care gave me a bunch of artworks (drawing and coloring) that Sumahi did. Sumahi follows Daddy footsteps of being an abstract artist!

Sumahi's First Fight

Sumahi got into her first fight on August 6, 2008. She was exactly 1 year 3 months and 20 days old, standing 31.5 inches, weighting 21 lbs. I was told by the staff at her daycare that she was fighting over a toy with an older kid, and ended up scratching her face with the toy.

I was asked by Daddy to take a photo of her scratch, but unfortunately, it faded too soon, so I was unable to take any photo.

My thoughts on the incident? I really don't have any problems with Sumahi fighting, as long as she is the one winning and not the one getting beat up.

Anyway, here're some pictures of Sumahi after she got her haircut yesterday.

Look at that naughty smile!

Eww... stop picking your nose, nene!

Look at my new haircut!

Sumahi has been PROMOTED!!!

Sumahi has been promoted to the transitional class, which is the transitional phrase before being promoted to pre-school. She is now learning to self-feed (which I had never tried, since I'm not ready for the mess that she is going to make) , she is allowed to play at the playground, and she now no longer sleep at her playpan at the daycare.

See what she could do in this video! She made the tunnel herself!

Cutest Passport Ever!

Sumahi had gotten her first passport (even though we aren't travelling anytime soon)!
I scanned her passport here and blocked off some of the information on the passport just to be safe.

Happy Father's Day

I had nene dressed up since it was Fathers Day, and even though Daddy is not here with us, I'm sure that the pictures would cheer him up. Here're some pictures of the Chamorrita girl!! The plumeria on her hair looks like she had flower growing from her head! Ha ha ha.

And Then There Were None

Four little Pikachus sitting on the couch;
A bihusaurus throws it on the floor and then there were three.

Three little Pikachus sitting on the couch;
A bihusaurus throws it on the floor and then there were two.

Two little Pikachus sitting on the couch;
The Pikachu fell of the couch and then there was one.

One little Pikachus sitting on the couch;
The bihusaurus fell on her butt and so there remains one!

Roseola

Last Sunday night, Sumahi started getting a fever and a slight diarrhea. Since Monday was a holiday, we had to postpone her doctor visit until Tuesday. She was diagnosed with a throat infection, and so was given some antibiotics. Her high fever slowly subsided. Soon afterward, I noticed a bit of rashes around her neck, thinking that it was just heat rashes, I just put extra baby powder on her neck. On Thursday morning, I noticed that her rash got a little worse, it spreaded to her chest and her back. Since it was just a few rash, I continued the baby powder treatment. By Thursday night, the rash got serious and spread all over her body, including her face, which got me extremely worried. We brought her to the doctor early in the morning, she was diagnosed with roseola, and was told to keep giving her the antibiotic and was prescribed benadryl incase she gets itchy. I was relieved that it wasn't anything serious, but we would have to cancel our plan to go swimming at the beach this weekend.
